Legionella Sampling
We collect water samples for Legionella analysis at high-risk points in the system, following best-practice methods such as pre-flushing or post-flushing as recommended by BS7592. Independent UKAS-accredited laboratories then culture and analyse the samples. While routine sampling is not always required for domestic systems, it is an important diagnostic tool for high-risk sources or where temperature monitoring indicates a potential problem.
Total Viable Count (TVC)
TVC sampling provides an indication of the general microbiological condition of the water under specified test conditions. Results are most useful when considered alongside system conditions, sampling locations and previous results to identify unusual changes or trends.
E. coli Sampling
Sampling for E. coli can help identify faecal contamination in water supplies. Detection of E. coli is an important indicator of faecal contamination and requires appropriate investigation and action.
Pseudomonas Sampling
We collect samples to detect opportunistic pathogens such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, particularly relevant in healthcare, care and other higher-risk environments. Where detected, results should be assessed in the context of the setting, affected outlets and people at risk to determine the appropriate response.
Total Coliform Sampling
